My path to writing about medical alert systems is personal. Five years ago, my father — a fiercely independent 78-year-old — had a fall in his kitchen and lay on the floor for nearly four hours before my sister happened to call. That experience shook our entire family and sent me on a mission to find a solution that would keep him safe without taking away the independence he valued so much.

Before becoming a full-time caregiver advocate and writer, I spent eight years as an EMT. I've responded to hundreds of calls involving elderly patients who fell at home, and I've seen the difference between outcomes when help arrives in minutes versus hours. That front-line experience shapes everything I write.

At SeniorAlertGuide, I focus on comparison guides, buyer resources, and content for family caregivers. I write from the perspective of someone who has been in your shoes — researching, worrying, and ultimately finding the right solution for a parent I love.
